Just in time before the start of the classic car rally season, the JDOST light barrier training for interested parties took place on April 6, 2025, in the Klosterneuburg industrial park.
Seventeen participants in ten cars took part. The JDOST light barrier training was also attended by several members of the MG – Owners Club Austria and teams that had learned about it online. During ten training and four qualifying laps, the participants perfected their feel for their vehicles in the interplay of distance and time. Some took it seriously, others enjoyed the Olympic spirit. In any case, the fun and enjoyment was evident in everyone. Some achieved impressive results with ZERO deviation from the target time; a big bravo to the teams that managed that.
Our course consisted of three light barriers. During free practice, each participant could set their own target times and then determine the actual seconds driven based on the light barrier timing. Strict time limits were applied for the final scoring. After ten practice laps, the scoring began. Four laps were completed – and the top results were remarkable. The top three were separated by only 47-tenths of a second.
On the podium were: 1. Team Gebauer, 2. Team Bailer and 3. Team Winkler.
We congratulate the award winners and wish them all the best in their upcoming competitions. The JDOST light barrier training has established itself as a popular and well-attended event.
