Dieter Platzer from Jaguar Land Rover gave a guest lecture on the realignment of Jaguar. The worldwide media coverage of the new electric Jaguar Type 00 Concept has reached around 800 million people and thus had a broad impact on the focus of Jaguar’s new brand image in an extraordinary segment. Under the motto “Copy Nothing”, Jaguar presented its vision of the electric cars of the future in December 2024. This motto of Jaguar founder Sir William Lyons has repeatedly led to the development of new vehicles in Jaguar’s history, such as the Mark II saloon and the Jaguar E and XJ-S models. The side view of the Jaguar Type 00 Concept is sporty and compact at the same time and its success will only be measured in a few years’ time. In terms of price, Jaguar is once again positioned high, but as in the past, below Bentley and Rolls-Royce.

As part of the StarterMotor project, there will be a first seminar with a technical college in June 2025. The JDOST will explain the theory and practice of Jaguar classic cars to 3rd and 4th grade mechanical engineering students at the HTL Wr. Neustadt and will be on site with at least three vehicles.

At this year’s classic car show in Tulln, the JDOST will present at least eight vehicles, including some Jaguar XJ-Ss to mark the fiftieth anniversary of this model.

There will be a public JDOST Jaguar forum, the implementation is still being worked on. This forum will thrive on a lively exchange, which JDOST members have already been called upon to participate in.

Furthermore, the members were asked to make the JDOST homepage even more lively with their personal entries on the member profile page.
