As part of the Classic Car Days on April 27th and 28th, 2024, the JDOST once again invited people to go on a motorized ride together.
The starting point was at our valued sponsor Austria Shirt in Altlengbach. The assembled team fortified themselves with coffee and cake before setting off after extensively examining the range. The entourage, consisting of the finest that Coventry, Longbridge, Solihull and Blackpool had to offer, roamed through the Vienna Woods and the Mostviertel to stop in front of Purgstall church and fortify themselves.
After a short break, we continued merrily to Steyr, where we met a delegation from the West Section in the picturesque main square. After lunch we continued to Linz where we were able to take a tour of the VOEST. Although this was interesting, it was typical green propaganda for our time and contradicted all the laws of economics and physics. After this nonsense, we went back to our quarters in a beautiful historic house in the heart of Steyr, where we ended the evening with a long evening.
The next day we went to the Sonntagberg Military Museum, where we saw numerous interesting artifacts from Austrian military history, starting with the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Army to today’s Federal Army. Lunch was served to us at Rothschild Castle in Waidhofen an der Ybbs.
Then we went to the final stop, where the hard core said goodbye to each other on the outskirts of Vienna, looking forward to the next tour.
